Not to piss in Kia’s Cheerios, but the JD Power thing is a sham. A company I worked for was very much caught up in it, so I learned a lot about it. If you’re paying the company that’s rating you, there is a huge conflict of interest, imo.

Insightful, I had no idea there was an exchange of money. Consumer Reports might be onto something..

I should also say for the more pedestrian-class (non-Oppo), this is a good thing.

“Tiger” design isn’t bad. Not a fan of that fender treatments, though.

To be fair, it was 15 years ago, so things may have changed. But that’s that way i understood it then. Also, “initial quality” is crap. If you think you got a good deal, then you’ll tell everyone your car is awesome. After 5 years, when it looks 25 years old, you may not be so happy with your purchase.

I completely agree, I don’t even like most current styling trends overall.
It’s mainly the transition from most basic car possible to BMW that impresses me.

From Car and Driver in 2011-
“ The J.D. Power organization only reveals the intimate details of each car’s and truck’s IQS performance to the manufacturers that pay for that information. It’s been a business model that has served the company well since Toyota became its first client in 1969"
